With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of John David Pisut, who departed this life peacefully, tenderly embraced by the love of his family in his final moments.
John’s life was a quiet testament to strength, devotion, and faith. He walked through the world with humility and purpose, offering wisdom, kindness, and a steadfast presence to all who knew him. His legacy is etched not only in the hearts of his loved ones but also in the quiet acts of compassion and integrity that defined his days.
John was a devoted husband and father and served his community and country with honor—as a compassionate funeral director, a diligent railway conductor, and a proud Army Reservist. In each role, he exemplified the virtues of honesty, perseverance, and selfless care. His work was not merely a vocation, but a reflection of the values he held sacred.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Dolly (Malnar) Pisut; his three sons, John, Christian (Anh), and Zachary Pisut; his cherished grandchildren, Christian II and Gianna Pisut; and his sister, Marianne (John) Jarman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen J. and Margaret Ellen (Maslan) Pisut, and his brothers, Stephen M. (Beverly, †2008) and James R. (Marcia, †1992).
Though he has departed, his legacy endures—woven into the hearts of those he loved and in the countless cherished memories they hold dear.
Private services were held at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Naperville, Illinois, to honor a life well lived and a soul deeply loved.
