Shroba, John, 85 years, died Saturday, August 16, 2008 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center.
Preceded in death by his loving wife, Charlotte (1997); his parents, Ignatius and Kristina (Sula); four brothers, Joseph (Emerzia) Shroba, Aloysius (Mary) Shroba; and two brothers at infancy.
Survived by one brother, Thomas (Marie) Shroba; one sister, Anna (John) Zak; two sisters-in-law, Emerzia and Mary Shroba. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Born in Joliet he was a lifelong resident. Veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army. He was a long time employee of the E.J.&E. Railroad as a carman.
Pisut Funeral Services in charge of arrangements @ Tezak Funeral Home 1211 Plainfield Rd., from where services will be held Thursday August 21, 2008 at 10:30 AM to St. Mary Nativity Church for 11:00AM Mass of Christian burial. Interment S.S. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery.
Visitation Thursday 9AM to 10:30 AM.
