Age 80 of Channahon, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 14, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.
Born February 8, 1941 in Joliet, Jack was the son of Theron and Sarah Hildegarde (nee Rogers) Doyle. He was raised and educated in Joliet and graduated from Joliet Township Central High School with the class of 1959. Following high school, Jack enlisted and proudly served in the United States Army. He went onto work in the printing industry as a type-setter and worked for Printing Craftsmen of Joliet for many years until retiring. In his free time, Jack loved to go fishing and was a member of the Minus 300 Club in Plainfield. His most treasured times were spent with his family. Jack will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife: Karen (nee Tekel) Doyle; children: Deidre Jandeska, Mike (Lisa) Doyle, Jim (Cherie) Doyle and Jennifer Allen; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister: Mary Ellen (the late Larry) White; brothers-in-law: Ed (Kim) Tekel and Ron Tekel, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents: Theron and Sarah.
The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road in Joliet. The funeral will then drive in procession to Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood for the rendering of full military honors and committal service.
