Joseph J. Drabick of Joliet, age 94, closed his eyes for the final time on July 15, 2025. He was born to his parents Joseph and Margaret (née Barber) Drabick in Wyoming, PA on February 6, 1931.
Joseph attended St. Cyril school, was a Korean War Veteran who served in the U.S. Army from March of 1953 until September of 1954 earning a National Defense Service Medal, a United Nations Service Medal, and a Korean Service Medal, and he retired from US Steel.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Margaret; his brother Edward and his sister Geraldine.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus, 604 N. Raynor Ave., Joliet, IL on Saturday July 19, 2025 at 10:00 am. Guests are invited to gather in the narthex of the church beginning at 9:30 am for some moments of fellowship before the start of Mass. Immediately following Mass, a Chapel Interment Committal Service with military Honors will be held at Saints Cyril and Methodius Cemetery, 2001 Maple Rd. Joliet, IL 60432.
