Juan R. Rodriguez

Juan R. Rodriguez, age 44, passed away suddenly on Friday, May 15, 2015.

Juan is survived by his loving children; Samantha Rodriguez, Cameron Bell and Jordyn Bell; grandchildren, Johannah, Gregory and Sofia; mother, Guadalupe Avalos; father, Rodolfo; siblings, Amelia Valdovinos and Marisol (Miguel) Leal; nieces and nephews, Jose, Yaya, Danny and Nico.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Antonio and Maria Rodriguez; nephew, Jose Rodolfo.

Juan was born and raised in Joliet, IL. He was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle who had a heart of gold. "Moose" was the family's gentle giant. He loved fishing, playing pool and cooking. Juan was always joking and laughing, he made light of all situations. He was a very social person who had no trouble making new friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.


A celebration of Juan's life will begin on Thursday, May 21, 2015 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:20 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Patrick Catholic Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. Per Juan's wishes cremation rites will be accorded following Mass. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield road, Joliet from 2-8 p.m.
