January 26, 1950 — February 16, 2016
Kathleen M. Ambrozich, age 66, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 with her loving family by her side after a courageous battle with pneumonia.
Kathleen is survived by her loving daughter, Stacy Ambrozich; brothers, Kenny (Renee) Gestel and Melvin (Rita) Sayre; niece, Lori (Stephen) Bamberg; great-nephews, Matt, Danny and Johnny Bamberg; great-great-nephew, Noah Bamberg; uncle, Raymond Gestel. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mildred (nee Hoffman) Gestel; sister, Dolores (nee Sayre) Schaubel.
Kathleen was born and raised in Joliet and was a great spiritual support to her family and friends. She would offer prayers to anyone who needed them and will be truly missed.
A celebration of Kathleen’s life will begin on Friday, February 19, 2016 with a visitation at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A service will be held in the funeral home chapel concluding the visitation at 7:30 p.m. Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation. Interment of cremated remains will be held privately at a later date at Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville.
