Laurie A. Gleason

Laurie A. Gleason, 74, passed peacefully on July 10, 2026 in Morris, Illinois. The daughter of Thomas L. Gleason and Shirley Gleason (née Albright). She was born and raised in Joliet, IL. She attended Sacred Heart Grade School and St. Francis Academy before graduating from the College of St. Francis with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Accounting.

Early in her career she worked at World Supply. She then went on to work for the Illinois Department of Corrections at the Joliet and Statesville Correctional Centers. She continued her career at the Illinois Department of Transportation in the Bridge Tenders Division. Her final position before retirement was as an Auditor with the Illinois Department of Revenue.

Laurie always enjoyed spending time with family, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Laurie is survived by her daughter Patricia Lindberg; her two grandchildren Zoie and Zach Chapman; as well as her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Shirley; and her sisters Kathy Gleason, Monica (John) Ransom, and Marion Therese Gleason.

In line with Laurie’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Tezak’s Home to Celebrate Life, 1211 Plainfield Rd. Joliet, IL 60435. Inurnment at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 1320 E. Cass St. Joliet, IL will take place privately at a later date.
