Age 67 at rest Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at the Moffitt Cancer Center, in Tampa, FL. Loving companion of Ruth Ratliff; loving father of Susan (Richard) Verklan and Jeff (Bridget) Spencer; dearest grandfather of Christina (Gregory) Doran, Kathryn and Rebecca Verklan, Lauren, Matthew and Justin Spencer; two great grandchildren, Nicholas and Jillian Doran; one sister, Sandy Freeman, three brothers, Richard, Frank, Ronnie Spencer; one sister-in-law, Marilyn (late George) Spencer; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in deathby his parents, George and Kathryn (nee Fredrick) Spencer; one brother, George Spencer; and one sister, Dolores (Richard) Rodgers. Lawrence was born in Galesburg, IL and resided in Joliet for most of his lifetime. He retired as a Real Estate Broker in Joliet and spent his retirement in Florida.
