Liberato Aguirre of Chicago, IL entered into eternal peace on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the age of 74.
Liberato was born in the rural town of La Soledad in Santiago Papasquiaro, Durango, Mexico. He arrived in the United States at the young age of 16 and established himself in the City of Chicago thanks to the abundant work opportunities. He was a trained welder and worked in multiple industries. Throughout his life he demonstrated a hard-working ethic that he instilled in his children and grandchildren. He had a wonderful wit and uncanny sense of humor that he shared with anyone who was willing to listen. He was an aficionado of Norteño music and classic cars. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife; Ernestina (Melero) Aguirre, of 53 years; his children; José Liberato (Fabiola) Aguirre, María Isabel (Sergio) Rocha, Sandra (Jesús) Magaña, Ángel Aguirre, and Fred (Angelica) Aguirre. His grandchildren: Jazmin, Elia, Marciela, Sergio, Jose, Julian, Zenaida, Jesus, Samuel, Michael, Cielo, Nicole, Joel, Aaron, Fred, Sofia, and Ruby; his great-grandchildren: Nalani, Daniel, Quetzalli, Alfonso, Rosalina, Alexander, Nicholas, Jessie, Amelia, Jazel, and Jillian. Also surviving Liberato are his siblings; Concepción (Adalberto) Oláguez and Cristino (María Elena) Aguirre and many more nephews and nieces.
He is preceded in death by his parents; José Ángel Aguirre and Josefa Herrera de Aguirre; his siblings, Lucila (Aurelio) Quintero, Leonila (Enrique) García, Florina (Juan Manuel) Ramírez.
Family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 3:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. On Friday, December 17, 2021, at Tezak Funeral Home , 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet,IL. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, Decmeber 17, 2021 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 710 W Marion St, Joliet, IL for a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10:00 A.M with burial to follow where Liberato will be laid to rest at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Hillside, IL.
