Lillian D. Wagner

Lillian D. Wagner, of Lockport, IL, departed from this life on May 18, 2025. Lillian was 98 years old. She was born on December 6, 1926, to her parents Philip Bebar and Frances Bebar (nee Lakota) of Joliet, Il.

Lillian was a graduate of St. Mary Nativity Grade School before attending St. Francis Academy in Joliet. She was a member of the graduating class of 1945. Her natural, God-given talent was a beautiful voice. She, along with her siblings sang in many school, church and town performances. Lillian also enjoyed and participated in many sporting activities, especially basketball and baseball teams. In 1948 she married her love, Robert. The two of them raised four children. She enjoyed traveling with Robert and her family. She experienced the love of ten grandchildren, and felt fortunate sharing her life and love with 19 great grandchildren!

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents Philip and Frances; her husband of sixty-nine years, Robert; her siblings Ray Bebar, Katherine Branshaw, Pauline Bertolotti, Mary Pell, Philip Bebar, Robert Bebar, Dolores Kuban and Jeanne Engle.

Lillian is survived by her children Jodi (Floyd) Browning, Robert (Deborah) Wagner, Timothy (Kelly) Wagner, and Scott (Mary) Wagner: 10 grandchildren, Christopher, Andrew, Betsy, Stacie, Robert, Timothy, Daniel,Tracy, Nathan and Jaime: as well as 19 great grandchildren. She has one surviving brother, Gerald Bebar.

In Lieu of flowers, donations made to a local HOSPICE provider, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, would be greatly honored.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on MONDAY, JUNE 2, from 10:00-11:00 A.M., with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00.

We will then travel to Resurrection Cemetery for a short service prior to Lillian's inurnment.
