Age 78, at rest on Thursday, December 20, 2007 at his late residence. Luis passed peacefully in his wife"s arms of a massive heart attack.
Survived by his loving wife of 58 years Lucia Martinez; daughter Hermelinda Guzman-Martinez and her children Monica (Duval) Verdin and Gabriela, Duval Jr., and Christopher Verdin; Suzy (Rolando) Guerrero, her children Luis Guerrero and Miguel Angel and Jose Quiroz; Jose Luis Guzman, Marc Anthony Guzman and Marc"s children Julianna and Marc Anthony II. Mario Guzman and his daughter Mariah Guzman; Michael Guzman; daughter Estella (Victorino) Mireles and her children Victor and his children Nina, Derek and Gabriel Mireles; Carlos, Erica and Arianna Mireles; son Salvador (Lupe) Martinez and his children Rosalinda (Hector) Ibarra, Rosalinda"s children Eric, Danny and Christopher; Gus (Melody) Bautista, and his children Michael, Angel and Nicholas Bautista; Alexander and Salvador Martinez; daughter Gloria (Florencio) Flores and her children Julio and Rudy Flores; and Julio's daughter Mia Flores.
Born in Charrandaro, Guanajuato Mexico Luis has been a Joliet resident since 1957. Retired from GAF Corporation. Luis was a wonderful husband, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be greatly missed.

From where services will be held on Monday, December 24, 2007 at 9:30 to St. Mary Nativity Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Entombment at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Sunday, December 23, 2007 from 5-8 PM.
