Lynn Sheard

Lynn Marie Sheard of Joliet, age 53, left this world far too soon at St. Joseph Hospital in Joliet, IL on June 5, 2025. Lynn was born in Joliet, IL on April 11, 1972 to her parents Robert J. Seguin Jr. and Sharon Seguin (née Gunderson).

Lynn was born and raised in Joliet. She worked at Harrah’s Casino for almost thirty years. She preferred to live a life free of unnecessary complications. She focused her attention on those that she loved and those that loved her. She was a wonderful partner in life to her husband Brian, and she was a devoted mother. Her children meant the world to her, and no sacrifice was too great for their benefit. She enjoyed music, especially hard rock, and she would often attend concerts with her kids. When at home, she liked to relax in front of the television with her family, and she could always lose herself in a good novel. She was a wonderful caretaker of her dog Oliver, and she was an active Pride supporter throughout the year, but especially during the month of June. At her core, in the simplest form, she loved her family deeply. Her husband, children, mother, along with so many others, will miss her for many years to come.

She was preceded in death by her father Robert J. Seguin Jr., her maternal and paternal grandparents, her best friend Charlie Palmer, and her furry friend Tyson.

Lynn is survived by her mother Sharon Seguin, her husband of twenty-five years Brian Sheard, her children Jalen, Hannah, and Rebekah, and her sister Jessica Seguin. Numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends and loved ones also survive.
