Manuel “Rucho” Muñoz Rodriguez, aged 59, was born on September 4, 1966, and passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026.

Manuel had a deep love for gardening, where he found joy in nurturing flowers, fruits, and vegetables. His compassion extended to all animals, especially his cherished dogs and cats, who held a special place in his heart. A talented soccer player and skilled woodworker, Manuel embraced life with energy and dedication. His generous spirit shone through in his willingness to help everyone around him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Manuel Muñoz Leon, and his brother, Octavio Muñoz. Manuel leaves behind his loving wife, Rocio Alcantar; his daughters, Monse and Yari; his precious granddaughter, Scarlett; his devoted mother, Ascencion Rodriguez; and his siblings, Audelia, Eugenia, Ruben, Antonia, Octavio, Elena, Patricia, and Juan.

Manuel’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering support touched many lives. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

A celebration of Manuel’s life will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, with visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a prayer servicea at 6:00 p.m. at Tezak's Home to Celebrate Life at 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, Illinois 60435, including a prayer service at 6:00 p.m.

Visitation will continue on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., with chapel services beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Elmhurst Cemetery 1212 E. Washington St, Joliet, Illinois 60433.

Manuel sentía un profundo amor por la jardinería, donde encontraba alegría cuidando flores, frutas y verduras. Su compasión se extendía a todos los animales, especialmente a sus queridos perros y gatos, que ocupaban un lugar especial en su corazón. Futbolista talentoso y carpintero hábil, Manuel abrazó la vida con energía y dedicación. Su espíritu generoso brillaba en su disposición a ayudar a todos los que le rodeaban.
