Margaret L. Norton (nee Starasinic), age 85, at rest Friday, September 9, 2011. Margaret was born January 26, 1926 and was a lifetime resident of Joliet.
Loving mother of Peg (Jim) Marchio, devoted grandmother of Erin (James) Cameron, and Lorin (Jared) Kraeling, dear great-grandmother of Claire, Grant and Amelia Cameron and Will Kraeling, sister of Louis (Loretta) Starasinic, Joseph (Mary Louise) Starasinic, and Leonard (Janet) Starasinic.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, William F. Norton in 2007, three children in infancy, her parents John and Barbara (nee Brodaric) Starasinic, three brothers Edward, Anthony and John (Dorothy) Starasinic, three sisters Helen (John) Benac, Barbara (Robert) Smrekar and Josephine (Edwin) St. Germain.
A Celebration of Margaret"s life will begin on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 10:30 am with prayers at the funeral home chapel, then in procession to Cathedral of St. Raymond Church for a mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 9:30 am until the time of prayers at:
