Margaret C. Papesh nee McAloon Age 80. At rest Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at her home with her family by her side. Loving mother of Daun E. (Ed) Waggoner of Shorewood, Sandra L. (Michael) Milligan of Vienna, IL, Terri (late Jim) Greenberg of Joliet, dearest grandmother of Jennifer (Rob) Erickson, Lisa (David) Markusic, Emily (Jeremy) Cook, Michael and Timothy Milligan; great-grandchildren, Holly and Mia Erickson, Kasey and Davey Markusic. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, sisters, brothers-in-law and cousins. Margaret is the widow of Ralph J. Papesh (1978). Also preceded in death by her parents, George and Clara (nee Vercellino) McAloon; two sisters, Catherine (Oliver) Stadler, and Angelina Malon; a brother, Eugene (Annie) McAloon; and a nephew, Dwight Malon. Margaret was born in Joliet and was a lifelong resident. She retired from Joliet Township as a Deputy Town Clerk in 1983. She enjoyed crocheting, traveling, and exercising with the seniors at St. Joseph's Medical Center. Margaret was a member of St. Joseph Church Rosarian club C.C.W. where they have chosen her as Women of the Year (1997). She worked at Bingo, card parties, Parish Homecoming, bakery sales, and wherever she is needed. She drove for funerals, and visited members in nursing homes. Margaret was the treasurer of the Rosarian Club C.C.W. and was active in the Altar and Rosay Society, as well as the Senior Parishioners of St. Joseph's Church. She was also a member of the Catholic Womens' League of Joliet, V.F.W. Cantigny Post #367, and the American Legion Post #1080 Ladies Auxiliary, K.S.K.J. Lodge #8, and the Senior Services Center of will County. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the St. Joseph Church Renovation fund would be appreciated.
