Margaret Ann Sexton

Margaret Ann Sexton, age 65, passed away at her home on Friday, December 15, 2023. Born on June 24, 1958, Margaret lived a life filled with compassion, dedication, and cherished moments.

Margaret had a passion for caring for others, which led her to pursue a degree in Nursing from Joliet Junior College. In 1995, she proudly graduated from the program and embarked on a fulfilling career in healthcare. Margaret's commitment to helping others extended beyond work as she dedicated herself to providing comfort and support to those around her.

Outside of her professional life, Margaret derived great joy from her various hobbies and interests. As an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, she found immense pleasure in following their games and celebrating their victories. Margaret also cherished trips to Florida where she would soak up the sun and enjoy the beauty of nature. In addition to this, she loved spending time fishing with her friends and indulging in the simple joy of putting coins in machines.

Margaret was preceded in death by her loving parents, Richard and Carolyn (nee Stonich) Wicevic.

She is survived by her devoted sisters, Robin Wicevic and Beth (Dan) Testin; nephews, Tony (Andrea) Testin and Nick (Amanda) Testin; as well as her great-nieces and nephew, Tenley, Lennox, Thomas, and Shayla. Margaret's enduring spirit will also be held dear by her longtime friends and co-workers: Sherri, Marilyn, Barb, Sue, and Jan.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be remembered by all who knew her.

Margaret’s compassion touched the lives of many throughout her years. She will be remembered as a selfless individual who dedicated herself to caring for others. Her warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering love will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Donations may be made to Lightways Hospice of Joliet in honor of Margaret.
