Maria Dolores “Lola” Perez, de 50 años, falleció en paz el 21 de Agosto de 2026. Nació el 2 de Octubre de 1975 en Guanajuato, México, hija de Juan Pérez y Emilia Sánchez.

Lola fue una madre, abuela, hermana, hija y amiga amorosa, cuya calidez y generosidad dejaron una huella en la vida de todos quienes la rodeaban. Fue una mujer trabajadora, paciente, responsable, creativa, amable y cariñosa, que siempre hacía sentir bienvenidas a las personas a su alrededor.

Lola se sentía muy orgullosa de cuidar a su familia, especialmente a sus nietos. Disfrutaba de la jardinería, la cocina, decorar su hogar y disfrazarse para Halloween. Tenía un espíritu creativo y le encantaba hacer de su casa un lugar hermoso y acogedor. También disfrutaba comprar boletos de lotería y encontraba alegría en los momentos sencillos de la vida.

Lola era conocida por su gran ética de trabajo y trabajó como lavaplatos en Brothers Café. Más que nada, será recordada por su bondad, generosidad, amabilidad y amor incondicional por su familia. Su mayor alegría era estar rodeada de las personas que amaba.

Lola fue precedida en la muerte por sus queridos padres, Juan Pérez y Emilia Pérez Sánchez; y por sus hermanos, Luis Pérez, Maria Andrea Pérez Sánchez y Justina Pérez Sánchez.

Lola deja atrás una familia amorosa que siempre atesorará su memoria, incluyendo a sus hijos: Luis Flores, Eddie Flores, Julie Flores, Cristian Flores, Bricia Rojas y Alexander Rojas.

También deja a sus queridos nietos, incluyendo a Adriel Johnson, Braulio Flores, Nataliyah Johnson y Kiaro Johnson, así como a sus demás nietos, quienes le brindaron gran alegría y significado a su vida.

Lola también deja a sus hermanos: Jose Pérez, Maria Manriquez, Nina Moreno, Celia Palomares, Angel Pérez, Juan Pérez, Luz Pérez y Raul Pérez.

La memoria de Lola vivirá por siempre a través de sus hijos, nietos, hermanos, familia extendida y todas las personas cuyas vidas tocó.

Será profundamente extrañada, recordada con mucho amor y permanecerá para siempre en los corazones de todos aquellos que la conocieron y amaron. Su bondad, su risa, su fortaleza, su creatividad y el amor que sentía por su familia serán siempre parte de su legado.

Una Celebración de la Vida de María, con velación, se llevará a cabo el Viernes 28 de Agosto de 2026, de 4:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m., en Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, Illinois.

Un servicio en la capilla se llevará a cabo el Sábado 29 de Agosto de 2026 a las 10:00 a.m. en Tezak Funeral Home, seguido del entierro en Mount Olivet Cemetery, 1320 E. Cass Street, Joliet, Illinois.

La vida de Lola fue un regalo para todos los que tuvieron la dicha de conocerla. Aunque ya no está con nosotros, el amor que brindó, los recuerdos que creó y la familia que tanto amó permanecerán para siempre.

Descansa en paz, Lola. Fuiste profundamente amada y nunca serás olvidada.

Maria Dolores “Lola” Perez, age 50, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2026. She was born on October 2, 1975, in Guanajuato, Mexico, to Juan Perez and Emilia Sanchez.

Lola was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend whose warmth and generosity touched the lives of everyone around her. She was a hardworking, patient, responsible, creative, kind, and loving woman who always made those around her feel welcome.

Lola took great pride in caring for her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, decorating her home, and dressing up for Halloween. She had a creative spirit and loved making her home beautiful and welcoming. She also enjoyed buying lottery tickets and found joy in the simple moments of life.

Lola was known for her strong work ethic and worked as a dishwasher at Brothers Café. More than anything, she will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, friendliness, and unwavering love for her family. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by the people she loved.

Lola was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Juan Perez and Emilia Perez Sanchez; and her siblings, Luis Perez, Maria Andrea Perez Sanchez, and Justina Perez Sanchez.

Lola leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory, including her children: Luis Flores, Eddie Flores, Julie Flores, Cristian Flores, Bricia Rojas, and Alexander Rojas.

She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, including Adriel Johnson, Braulio Flores, Nataliyah Johnson, and Kiaro Johnson, as well as her other grandchildren, who brought great joy and meaning to her life. Lola is also survived by her siblings: Jose Perez, Maria Manriquez, Nina Moreno, Celia Palomares, Angel Perez, Juan Perez, Luz Perez, and Raul Perez.

Lola's memory will live on through her children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family, and the many people whose lives she touched.

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her kindness, laughter, strength, creativity, and love for her family will remain a lasting part of her legacy.

A Celebration of Maria’s Life with visitation will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, Illinois.

A chapel service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 1320 E. Cass Street, Joliet, Illinois.

Lola's life was a gift to all who knew her. Though she is no longer with us, the love she gave, the memories she created, and the family she cherished will remain forever.
