Mary E. DelRose

Age 90 of Crest Hill, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Lightways Hospice in Joliet with her loving family by her side.

Mary was a loving and generous mom and grandmother who will be greatly missed and remembered for her fabulous meals, especially her homemade raviolis, but mostly for her love. She retired from Joliet Pattern in 1996 after 35 years of service. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Cousin Linda for all her help and to her wonderful neighbors for their many years of kindness. She loved all of you.

Mary is survived by her loving daughter: Victoria (Steve) Kula; dear grandchildren: Elizabeth Rivera and Nicholas Kula; great-grandchildren: Caitlin Rivera and James Kantowski, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Victor DelRose in 1984; daughter: Mary Beth (James) Guest in 2009; sister: Barbara Weis in 2013 and her parents: Thomas and Elizabeth Zimmerman.

Family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. until time of closing prayers beginning at 11:30 a.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road in Joliet. The funeral will then process to St. Anne Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow and Mary will be laid to rest at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Joliet.

Masks are required to be worn during all services.

In lieu of flowers and at Mary’s request, Masses would be greatly appreciated or memorial contributions may be made to Lightways Hospice.
