Mary E. (Keenan) Sippel

Mary Sippel, 75 passed away on April 6, 2026 at St. Joseph Hospital in Joliet. She was born on February 10, 1951 in Streator, IL to Edward and Bernadine Keenan.

She was raised in Joliet and graduated from St. Paul the Apostle grade school and St. Francis Academy HS in 1969. She lived in Florida and Seattle for a time and Chicago when working for an Interior Design firm. Mary went back to school and got a degree in Accounting and Bookkeeping and opened her own business from her home in Joliet. 

She loved family gatherings and was the ultimate caregiver for her family.

She is preceded in death by her brother Daniel (2000), father Edward (2003) and mother “Bing” (2011)

Mary is survived by her devoted husband Keith R. Sippel, his son Erik (Leah) and children. Also surviving are her siblings, Bonnie (Ken) Stalzer, William, Sue (Skip) Krupinski, Deborah (Mike) Vazzano and Patricia, as well as several nephews and nieces and grand-nephews and grand-nieces. Also  her Mother-in-law Lois Sippel and Brother-in-law Richard (Barb) Sippel and children who survive her.

Funeral services were held privately.
