Mary Ann Prieboy (Lajcin) age 91 years, passed away November 1, 2016 at Salem Village Nursing Home.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andrew J. Prieboy; son, Dennis; sister, Cecelia Melovic; two brothers, John and Tony Lajcin; grandson, Jeffrey Prieboy.
Survived by two sons, Andrew Jr. (Judy) Prieboy and Tony (Carla) Prieboy of Florida; sisters, Verna (Les) Horvath, Fran Ziemetz, and Josie (Vince) Dibartolomeo; grandchildren & great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Born in Joliet to late the John & Cecelia Lajcin on December 7, 1924 and a lifetime Joliet resident, she attended S.S. Cyril & Methodius grade school and Joliet Township H.S. Long-time member of St. Bernard’s Parish. She retired from Marshall Fields where she worked as a tailor, seamstress and on-floor sales person.
A Celebration of Mary Ann’s life will begin on Friday, November 4, 2016 with prayers in the funeral chapel at 10:15 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Bernard's Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment S.S. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, November 3 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home (1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, IL).
