Age 62, at rest Thursday, February 26, 2009 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center, surrounded by his family.
Survived by loving wife of 39 years, Maureen E. (nee Majetic); four sons, Michael (Lisa), Marc (Cassie), Matt and Scott Chytracek; three grandchildren Colin, Reilly and Finn; mother-in-law, Marge Majetic; brother-in-law, Jeff Majetic; and niece, Marley; Aunt Frances (Donald) Trautner and Uncle William Gutnik; his companions, Jordan and Payton, his golden retrievers; numerous cousins and many close friends also survive.
Preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Angela (nee Gutnik) Chytracek; father-in-law, Edward F. Majetic.
Born in St. Paul MN. Veteran of U.S. Army. Served in Vietnam as a Sergeant E5 1st Cavalry, retired in 1996 from Commonwealth Edison after 29 years of service. Currently an employee of Cardinal Fitness and Saraboo Creek, member of Grin (Golden Retriever Rescue Group), and The American Italian Cultural Society. He enjoyed his golden retriever web site Mikeandjordan.com.
From where service will be held Wednesday March 4, 2009 at 9:30 AM to St. Joseph Church Rockdale for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM Visitation Tuesday from 2 to 8 PM. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
