Mouanitta Lee "Aunt Tootsie" Albano

In loving memory of Mouanitta Lee "Aunt Tootsie" Albano (nee Smith), who peacefully departed from this world on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, in Joliet, Illinois, at the age of 93. Lee was born to the late Jessie and Mackie Smith in Camden, Tennessee.

Lee will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her children: Jessie T (Robin), Anthony D., Guido, and Rosemarie Albano. Her legacy also lives on through her seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved cousin Retha.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Juanita Wheat of Tennessee.

Lee's life was marked by her unwavering love for her family and her gentle spirit, which touched the lives of all who knew her. Her kindness, warmth, and wisdom will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

In accordance with her wishes, Lee will be cremated, honoring her desire for simplicity and peace.

Though she may be physically absent, Lee's presence will continue to inspire and guide those who were fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in eternal peace.
