Norman L. Stowe, age 63, died Sunday, May 29, 2011 at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.
He is survived by his wife Nicolette (nee Esler), and daughters Nora and Nancy (John) Planinsek, granddaughters Julia Planinsek and Charlotte Stowe, brothers Ralph (Pam) Stowe, David (Mary) Stowe, Andrew (Penny) Stowe, and Thomas (Kathy) Stowe, mother-in-law Theresa Esler, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded by his parents Shirley and Anna (nee Ahlstrom) Stowe, and aunts and uncles. Norman was a veteran of the US Navy, serving on the USS Furse.
Memorial donations to the American Heart Association would be appreciated.
A Celebration of Norman"s Life will take place on Friday, June 3, 2011 at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment with military honors will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Joliet. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 PM until 8 PM at Tezak's Home to Celebrate Life, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, IL 60435.
