Omar Solis

Omar Solis, age 37, passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 3, 2018.

Omar is survived by his loving wife, Sandy (nee Zavala); children, Omar Solis and Brian Solis; parents, Micaela and Joaquin Cortez; siblings, Gerardo Solis, Griselda Solis, Julio Solis and Alan Solis; father and mother-in-law, Manuel Zavala and Sandy Zavala; numerous niece, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Omar was a very hard working man who enjoyed having a good time. He had 17 years of dedicated service for Metra Railroad where he made many friends throughout the years. He loved his sons dearly and was a great provider for his family. He will be dearly missed.

A celebration of Omar’s life will begin on Thursday, November 8, 2018 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:15 a.m. then driving in procession to Our Lady of Mount Carmel (Jackson Street) for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
