Pamela J. McKeon

Pamela J. McKeon, a lifelong resident of Joliet at the age of 79, passed away peacefully while comforted by her loving family on December 6, 2025 at Lightways Hospice and Serious Illness Care in Joliet, IL. She was born to her father Robert W. Parks and her mother Beverlee Parks (née Uhde) in Joliet on November 14, 1946.

Pam was a devoted wife and mother, and her family was her life. She worked in retail and the banking industry for most of her career. She had a knack for converting co-workers into lifelong friends. She loved to cook and bake, and drew great joy from feeding her family and friends. When she had dinner guests, she was always careful to prepare one of her guests’ favorite dishes. All who knew Pamela could attest to her loving and caring spirit, often stating that she was one of the kindest and strongest people they had ever known. She will surely be missed by so many whose lives she touched in a positive way.

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Beverlee; her loving husband of fifty-four years Michael L. McKeon; her father-in-law and mother-in-law Lawrence and Agnes McKeon; her beloved boys Michael, Greg, and Danny McKeon; her grandson Danny McKeon; and her siblings Randy and Scott Parks.

Pamela is survived by her brother Jeff Parks; her sister Sherry (John) Rousonelos; her granddaughter Caitlin McKeon; and Jean Fugett. Numerous other extended family members, friends, and loved ones also survive.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday December 13, 2025 at Tezak's Home to Celebrate Life, 1211 Plainfield Rd. Joliet, IL 60435 from 9:00 am until 12:30 pm with a Chapel Service beginning at 12:00 noon to close services. Per Pamela’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and inurnment at Saint Joseph’s Cemetery will take place privately, at a later date, where Pamela will rejoin her husband Michael for all of eternity.
