Robert O'Dell

Robert (Bob) O'Dell, age 83, of Joliet, IL, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Lightways, surrounded by his wife and family.

A lifelong resident of Joliet, IL, born on June 19,1943, to the late Robert and Anna (nee Valek) O'Dell. Bob was a 1961 graduate of Joliet Catholic High School.

Survived by his wife Charlene (nee Vercellotti) O'Dell, his daughter Rebecca (Dean) Powers, grandchildren Samantha and Jackson Powers, his daughter Kelley (Gregory) Gould, grandson Nicholas (Kelsie), great-grandchildren Rosalie and Thompson, grandson Jacob (Haley), great-grandchild Palmer, grandsons Zachary and Luke Gould, and his son Todd (Sheri) O'Dell, grandchildren Katelyn, Todd Jr., Madison (fiancé Grant), Isabella, and Emma O'Dell. Beloved cousin Jack (Shery) Mastalesh, who was like a brother to Bob.

Cremation rites have been accorded per Bob's wishes by Tezak Home to Celebrate Life. A private family gathering will be scheduled for a future date.
