Robert S. Podobnik (Ponky) age 82, passed away at Provena Villa Franciscan on March 19, 2012. Born September 1, 1929 a lifelong Joliet resident.
Preceded in death by his parents Jacob and Katherine (nee Kufner) Podobnik; his brothers Anthony and Rudolph Podobnik; sisters Mary Podobnik, Catherine (late George) Turk, Frances (late Frank) Legan and Pauline (late Nick) Chorak.
Survived by sisters Josephine (late John) Gregorash and Dorothy (late Don) Hiller; his niece Joleen (nee Gregorash) Morrow and numerous other nieces , nephews and friends. The Family would like to give a special thanks to the caring staff at Villa Franciscan and Joliet Area Community Hospice. Memorial visitation will be held at TezakA�??s Home to Celebrate Life on Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Memorial Service will be at TezakA�??s Home to Celebrate Life Friday at 10:30 a.m. Inurnment St. Mary Nativity Cemetery.
