Age 86 of Joliet, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 19, 2021 at his home with family by his side.
Born June 26, 1934 in Allende, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Rogelio was a son of Roberto and Maria (Salazar) Perez. He moved to the United States at the age of 17 and later in life with his wife Adelfa, they would call Joliet home. Together they made their home and raised their family. Rogelio was a hardworking man who was a laborer for Local 75 until retiring in 1996. His biggest pride was his family. Rogelio will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his children: Mario (Alicia) Perez, Laura (Tim) Novy and Leo (Tanya) Perez; grandchildren: Lisett Perez, Jovan Perez, Christian Novy, Hannah Novy, Nathaniel Perez and Nicolas Perez; great-grandchildren: Julian and Anelise Baez; brothers: Roberto (Elva) Perez and Leopoldo Perez, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Adelfa who passed away in 2018; parents: Roberto and Maria, and siblings: Humberto (Rosemary) Perez, Raul Perez and Consuelo Perez.
Per Rogelio wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.
The family will receive relatives and friends for a memorial visitation on Sunday, February 21, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until time of memorial service beginning at 10:30 a.m. For guests wishing to attend the memorial service virtually, a live-stream link is provided at the bottom of Rogelio’s obituary page.
