Ronald A. Bevil II

October 5, 1972 — September 10, 2022

Ronald A. Bevil II, 49, of Plainfield, Illinois, passed away suddenly on September 10, 2022.

Ron was born on October 5, 1972, to Ronald and Sherry Bevil (nee Budrick). The oldest of four children, Ron was affectionately known as Ronnie by his family.  Ron loved animals his entire life, catching them in the wild as a child, and breeding various animals as an adult.  He loved Pink Floyd, and especially loved the album and movie: Pink Floyd The Wall.  He had a love for Harley Davidson’s, and his V-ROD was his absolute pride and joy.  He enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends, and seeing and trying new things.

Ron spent his career at the Mars Wrigley Corporation (formerly Amurol Confections).  He started working for Amurol/Mars Wrigley at the age of 19 and celebrated his 30th year with the company in August 2022.  He was a hardworking, loyal employee – his work ethic, dedication to his job, and honesty were unrivaled.

Ronnie will be remembered for his sweet, kind soul; his mischievous smirk; his goofy but infectious laugh; his willingness to always put others before himself; a loving big brother that was always there for his siblings; a loving son that would do anything for his parents and his family; a loyal and loving friend; his integrity; and his passion for doing the right thing.

Ron is survived by his loving parents, Sherry Bevil and Ron Bevil; stepmom, Cindy McHale; his siblings, Troy (Reveca) Bevil, Heather Becker, and Nikki Mason; his nieces, Eryn (Alexander) Tyson and Jennifer (Michael) Allen; his nephews, Alex and Owen Becker; his great niece, Ruby Lee Allen; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; his fur baby, Buddy; and his loving friend, Theresa Lombardo.

He's preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; and his uncles, James ‘Will’ Budrick and Larry Bevil.

A celebration of Ronald’s life will begin on Saturday, September 17, 2022 with a visitation at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Words of remembrance will conclude the visitation at 4:00 p.m.
