Ronald Louis Partak

Ronald L. Partak, age 80, of Joliet, passed away suddenly and peacefully on November 19, 2025, at Willow Falls Assisted Living.

Born and raised in the small town of Rockdale, Illinois, Ron grew up surrounded by a large and loving extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He attended St. Joseph Catholic Grade School, graduated from Joliet Catholic High School in 1963, and went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Lewis University in Romeoville.

Shortly after graduating, Ron was drafted into the service during the Vietnam War. He proudly joined the United States Navy and served aboard the USS Independence aircraft carrier—an experience he held with great pride throughout his life.

In his younger years, Ron had a deep fascination with classic model cars and was especially thrilled the day he purchased his 1955 Ford Galaxy. He also found great joy in hunting, fishing, and woodworking. Many of his fondest memories came from sharing these hobbies with his beloved nephews, Rick and Bryan, whom he cherished dearly. Ron was a longtime member of the Lunkers Unlimited Club in Minooka, Illinois, and formed lifelong friendships while competing in numerous fishing tournaments across various destinations.

Following his military service, Ron built a respected career in accounting. He held several positions, including roles with the Illinois Department of Corrections, the City of Joliet business office, and ultimately retired as an auditor with the Illinois Gaming Commission.

Ron was also a proud member of the Lockport Moose Lodge #1557 and the Dale AC in Rockdale.

In recent years, Ron truly loved his time at Willow Falls Assisted Living. He enjoyed the activities, the camaraderie, and the many friendships he formed there. His family was deeply touched by the staff and residents who shared how much they appreciated Ron’s warm, friendly personality and how deeply he will be missed.

Ron’s life was one of quiet strength, dedication, and kindness. He will be remembered with love by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

A Celebration of Life will be held with visitation on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, Illinois. A chapel service will be be held in the chapel at 5:00 pm the same day. Interment will be held privately.
