Roseann L. Powell

Roseann L Powell, age 83, passed away on January 13, 2026 at the Bickford of St Charles. She was born on September 1, 1942 to her father Emmett Powell and mother Frances Powell Keemle (née Floming) in Geneseo, IL.

Roseann earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing from the Trinity College of Nursing and retired from the Illinois Department of Mental Health after thirty-eight years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents Emmett and Frances; her brothers Wm. D. Powell and Kenneth Powell; as well as her nephew Timothy Powell.

Roseann is survived by her daughter Renata Gardner; her grandson Jonathan, her sister-in-law Cheryl Powell, and her cousin Teresa Clarke-Maras.

In lieu of flowers, Roseann preferred that any donations made in her name be directed to the Roseann L. Powell Nursing Scholarship Fund of the Trinity Health Foundation via www.trinityhealthfoundation.com.

In line with Roseann’s directives, cremation rites will be accorded and her Earthly remains will be inurned with her parents at the Oakwood Cemetery, 115 S. Oakwood Ave., Geneseo, IL at a later date to be determined by the Executor of her estate. Arrangements have been entrusted to Tezak’s Home to Celebrate Life, 1211 Plainfield Rd., Joliet, IL 60435.
