Shirley R. Max (nee Kapella), age 87 of Crest Hill, IL entered into eternal life on Monday, January 4, 2016.
Shirley is survived by her loving sister, Nancy (the late Raymond) Mutz; loving step-children, Marlene (Roger) Stoick, Ron (Cathie) Max, Jennifer (Lane) Stolle and Janine Max; forever missed by her loving niece and caretaker, Jackie (Joseph) Kararo; sister-in-law, Dolores (the late Arthur) Kapella; step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by her husband, John; parents, Joseph Kapella and Frances (nee Hartmann) Nokes; sisters, Beatrice (Francis) Jackson and Deloris (Anthony) DeAcetis; brothers, George (Doris) and Arthur Kapella.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Shirley’s name to Joliet Area Community Hospice.
A celebration of Shirley’s life will begin on Saturday, January 9, 2016 with a visitation at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet.
