At rest on Monday, January 28, 2008 at Sunny Hill Nursing Home.
Survived by her sisters, Margaret (late Joseph) Midlock, Julie (late Raymond) Branchaw, Bertha (late Andrew), Sari, Frances (late Alex) Wroblewski. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by her parents, John and Barbara (nee Maycher) Hornicak; four sisters, Ann (George) Dancisak, Mary Hornicak, Helen (Larry) Crichton, Rose (late John) Adams; three brothers, Joseph (Audrey), Richard (Patricia) and John (in infancy) Hornicak.
Sophie was born in Joliet and a lifelong resident. Retired from Gerlach-Barklow.
In lieu of flowers donations in Sophie's name to the Cathedral of St. Raymond School Fund or Sunny Hill Skilled Rehab Center would be appreciated.
From where services will be held on Friday, February 1, 2008 at 10:30 AM to St. Bernard for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM with Father John Hornicak officiating. Interment at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Funeral Home on Friday beginning at 9:00 AM.
