Stanley W. Malnar Born July20,1929 Passed away December 18,2021. 92 years, passed peacefully at Lightways Hospice Home. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 72 years, Dolores (Berta), his parents, Stanley and Matilda, 2 brothers, Valentine (late Maria) and John (late Gladys), four sisters Mitzka (late Eli) Hinich, Dunchka (late Walter) Krochmal, Dorothy (late Harvey) Richards and infant sister Darinka Malnar. Survived by his daughter Dolly (John) Pisut, 3 sons, Stanley (Carol), Gerard (Terry) and Greg (Marci) Malnar. One sister-in-law Jo Ann (lateTony) Starcevich. 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews. Born in Joliet,he resided in Crest Hill for 56 years. Retired from U.S.Steel Mill after 50 years of service. Stanley was a gentle, loving and humble man devoted to his family with talents that helped each of them in so many various ways. A seasoned and accomplished accordion and button box musician. He enjoyed and participated in many events over the years. He and Dolores traveled to enjoy many Polka fests with dancing, singing and Stanley sitting-in to play along. He was a member of the Polka-Mass-sters, playing at Masses in the local Catholic Churches. He passed his appreciation of music on to all of his children.
Funeral services will take place on Thursday, Dec. 23 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd. with Visitation from 8:00AM to 10:30AM followed by a procession to St. Mary Nativity Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville,IL.
