Steven R. Kochalka

Steven R. Kochalka, born February 11, 1946, at rest December 10, 2024. 

Survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Carol (Derkovitz); loving father of Theresa Cummings, Laura (Derek) Fennell, and Steven G. Kochalka (Carmen Montenegro); beloved grandfather of Katelyn, Isabelle, Josephine, Andrew, Seth and Paulino; one sister, Sue Flavin; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Steve & Mary Ann (Titra) Kochalka. 

He was born in Chicago, and was a resident of Crest Hill for 43 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1966 to 1970.

A Mass of Christian Burial and interment will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, 2024, at S.S. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery Chapel in Joliet, IL, with visitation from 10 a.m.  until 11 a.m.
