Thomas J. Janes
March 24, 1951 — January 23, 2025
Thomas J. Janes, known affectionately as "Tiger," age 73, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025, in Joliet, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia (nee Klancher) Janes, and his parents, Joseph G. Janes and Delores K. (Matesevic) Janes.
Thomas is survived by his sisters, Ann Marie (John) Schue and Jeanette Ball, along with other family members, nieces, nephews, and friends who will cherish his memory.
A dedicated worker, Thomas retired from Caterpillar after 30 years of service. He was a proud member of the Local #851 Machinist Union, the South Side Civic Club, Joliet Moose Lodge #300, and the Croatian Cultural Club.In keeping with his wishes, private services will be held.Thomas will be remembered for his kind heart, loyalty to family, and devotion to his community. May he rest in peace.
