Vanessa Pintor, age 32, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2026, surrounded by her loving family while holding her mother's hand.
Born on May 2, 1994, Vanessa lived a life marked by determination, intelligence, compassion, and an unwavering love for those closest to her. She touched the lives of many through her kind heart, vibrant spirit, and deep devotion to family and friends.
Vanessa was the cherished and only daughter of Josefina Angel. As Josefina's only daughter, Vanessa was a source of endless pride and a cherished companion, sharing a bond of exceptional closeness, devotion, and unconditional love. She was also the beloved daughter of Efrain Angel in all the ways that matter most. His unwavering love, guidance, and devotion were among life's greatest gifts to her, and the bond they shared was one of profound love and mutual admiration.
She is lovingly survived by her siblings, Luis Enrique (Nansi) Pintor, Armando Jose Angel, Diego Jesus Angel, and Brian Daniel Angel. Vanessa was a devoted aunt to her nephew, Luis Enrique Pintor, Jr., who brought her tremendous pride and joy.
In addition to her siblings, Vanessa is survived by her grandparents, Nabor and Sara (Hernandez) Reyes, Gabina Gonzalez de Angel, Roberto and Consuelo Pintor; her uncles, Nabor Reyes Jr., Eduardo Reyes, Fernando (Cindy Varela) Reyes, Cristian Reyes, David (Angelica) Angel and Juan Manuel (Bertha) Angel; as well as numerous cousins, extended family members, and friends who will forever treasure her memory. She is also survived by her father, Osvaldo Pintor; siblings, Brianna Mann, Ana Pintor, Hailey Diaz, and Deana Pintor; and niece, Juliet Mann.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Teofilo Hernandez and Maria Consuelo Lopez; her grandfather, Jose de Jesus Angel; her baby cousins, Isabel Angel Reyes and Elizabeth Pintor; and numerous beloved aunts and uncles.
Vanessa's passion for learning and personal achievement was evident throughout her life. She was among the first graduating class of what is now Sator Sanchez Elementary School, where she developed a love for music and proudly played the violin while attending Lincoln Middle School. She continued her musical involvement by playing the violin at Hufford Junior High School while also participating in soccer. At Joliet Central High School, she excelled in soccer, cross-country, and powerlifting. An exceptional student, Vanessa graduated in 2012 as a member of the National Honor Society before continuing her education at The Ohio State University.
Beyond her many accomplishments, Vanessa will be remembered for the simple things that brought her happiness. She had a deep love for animals and cherished her beloved cats, Santiago ("Santi") and Consuela ("Nena"), who were treasured members of her family. She was also a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, a passion she proudly shared with her Uncle Fernando.
Vanessa's laughter, strength, intelligence, and caring nature will be profoundly missed but never forgotten. The love she gave so freely and the memories she created with those around her will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.,
Memorial contributions may be directed to Vanessa's family to assist with funeral and related expenses.
A celebration of Vanessa’s life will be held with visitation on Sunday, October 11, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd. Joliet, IL
Family and friends are invited back to the funeral home for visitation from 10:00 A.M. to 11:45 a.m. the funeral procession will depart shortly after for funeral mass at 12:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 205 Jackson St. Joliet, IL Per her wish’s cremation will follow in accordance with her wishes.

Nacida el 2 de mayo de 1994, Vanessa vivió una vida marcada por la determinación, la inteligencia, la compasión y un amor inquebrantable por quienes más apreciaba. Tocó la vida de muchas personas con su bondad, su espíritu vibrante y su profunda devoción hacia su familia y amigos.
Vanessa fue la amada y única hija de Josefina Angel.
