Virginia “Jeanne” Sarcletti (née Getson) passed away peacefully on April 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She has gone home to be with her Heavenly Father and is now reunited with her beloved husband, Paul, whom she dearly missed. Together again, they rest in eternal peace.
Jeanne was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and a true friend to many. Her life was defined by her kindness, empathy, and the quiet strength with which she loved and served others.
She was a faithful member of Holy Family in Joliet, where her faith guided the way she lived, loved, and cared for those around her.
Jeanne took great pride in building a successful nail business, where she not only served her clients but truly connected with them. To many, she was more than a nail technician—she was a trusted listener, a source of comfort, and a steady, compassionate presence. She had a rare gift for empathy and made people feel genuinely seen and valued.
Above all, Jeanne’s greatest joy was her family. She was endlessly proud of her son Christopher (Ivy) Sarcletti and her daughter Jenny (Corey) McQuade. Through her hard work, sacrifice, and discipline, she was a proud contributor to their education—helping provide the opportunity for Christopher to attend the University of Illinois and Jenny to attend Bradley University, after their years at Joliet Catholic Academy.
Her grandchildren were the light of her life: Christian, Landon, Grayson, Hugo, and Kamden. She cherished every moment with them—especially hosting sleepovers, cooking for them, and simply being present. She was a shoulder to cry on, a comforting voice, and a constant source of love and encouragement.
Jeanne had a special gift for creating beauty in everyday life. She loved cooking amazing meals, decorating with an artistic eye, knitting, cross-stitching, and spending time gardening with Paul. Their backyard was something truly special—admired by many and a reflection of the care, pride, and love they shared together. Jeanne and Paul built not only two homes, but a life rooted in partnership, devotion, and joy. They were truly inseparable.
She treasured time spent with family on trips to Florida and Mexico, especially visiting her parents in Florida. She enjoyed weekly visits with her sister and in laws and dear friends Ron and Lizza Ruth. She also gave generously of her time, helping plan and organize galas for MorningStar Mission alongside dear friends, and contributing her talents through painting projects with Paul.
Jeanne is survived by her loving children Christopher (Ivy) and Jenny (Corey McQuade); her cherished grandchildren Christian, Landon, Grayson, Hugo, and Kamden; her sister Diane (Dave) Picco; and her brother Doug (Billie) Getson.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Paul; and her parents William and Genevieve Getson.
Jeanne will be remembered for her kind and beautiful smile, her warm heart, and her unwavering belief in the goodness of people. Her love lives on in the family she nurtured so deeply and the countless lives she touched.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either Joliet Catholic Academy at https://www.jolietcatholicacademy.org/giving/make-a-gift or MorningStar Mission at https://morningstarmission.org/donate/ in her honor.
In line with Jeanne’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a Celebration of Life Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday May 3, 2026 from 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm with a Chapel Prayer Service and Eulogy scheduled for 2:30 pm. Her Earthly remains will be inurned alongside her dear husband Paul at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL at a later date to be determined.
