Wayne C. Moak

Wayne C. Moak, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Audrey (nee Semeniuk) Moak; children, Collene (Salvador) Mendoza, Collette Moak, Carl Moak; grandchildren, Ramon (Neeta) Escalante, Stephanie (Aaron) Sharp and Brianna (Anthony) Patrizi; great-granddaughter, Miah Patrizi; brother, Kenneth (Barbara) Moak; numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his son, Curtis W. Moak; granddaughter, Kaitlyn N. Moak; and parents, Clarence and Mary Louise Moak.

Wayne graduated from Joliet Central High School. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Wayne volunteered at the Tinley Park Fire Department. He was a member of the Carpenters Union 56, PLAV post 30, American Legion post 615, American Legion Rider as a previous Director, and Saturday Riders No Name Club. He retired from Cook County Forest Preserve. Wayne was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be truly missed.

A celebration of Wayne’s life will begin on Monday, April 17, 2017 with a visitation from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home (1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, IL) followed by a Lutheran Funeral Service in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood where full military honors will be conducted.
