William E. Plese
At rest Sunday, September 20, 2009 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center, age 92. Served in the US Navy (LST-923) in the Pacific Theatre, was a member and past president of the JoAnnites Seniors Club, Men"s Club and Ambassadors of Mary from St. Mary Nativity Church. Also a member of VFW Cantigny Post #367, Old Timers Baseball Association, Caterpillar"s Retirees, I.A.M. Union Retirees, RSVP Catholic Charities and Shepard"s Table. Survived by brothers Raymond (Cathy) Plese and Edward (Marie) Plese, and a sister Marie (Barry, dec"d) Loman, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Special appreciation goes to nephew Richard Plese and great-nephew Christopher Plese for many years of loving assistance and care. Preceded in death by his wife Zita (nee Kezerly), parents Emil and Mary (nee Silo) Plese, and a sister Esther (Louis) Taffenhart. At William"s request, cremation rites were accorded. The family of William E. Plese invites relatives and friends to join them for a memorial mass at St. Mary Nativity Church, Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 10 AM. Private interment of cremains will follow. NO SERVICES AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
