William B. Regis

“Bill”

Age 58 of Oakland, Arkansas and formerly of Plainfield, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 30, 2023 at his home.

Born September 17, 1964 in Joliet, Bill was a son of Gerald and Sylvia (Scroggins) Regis. He was raised and educated in Plainfield and graduated from Plainfield High School with the class of 1982. In 1988, Bill moved to Oakland, Arkansas and worked for Lakeland Industries and Eaton Corporation based out of Mountain Home, Arkansas for many years.

Bill had an adventurous spirit and was always looking for new adventures. You could find him going cave exploring, scuba diving, going tubing with friends on Bull Shoals Lake or cliff jumping off of mile marker 9. He was an avid Nascar and Chicago Bears fan, and his main passion was anything with a motor. Whether he was going four wheeling, riding dirt bikes, working on his truck or his CJ5 Jeep, that was where he was happiest. Bill will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his parents: Sylvia and Gerald Regis; brother: Mark (Marianne) Regis; uncles: Tom Regis and Mike (Dodie) Regis; aunts: Pat Regis and Susan (Michael) Grobe, and cousins: Adrienne (Randy) Balentine, Elizabeth Balentine, Erin (Jon) Bailey, Johnathan and Lily Dzwinel, Sue Regis, Michelle, Bryce and Rylee Marek, Lisa (Andy) Syska, Alex and Evan Syska, and Adam Grobe.

Bill was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: John and Kate Regis; maternal grandparents: William and Vivian Scroggins; Fiancée: Trina Collins, and uncle: John B. Regis.

Family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Friday, July 7, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road in Joliet. Interment will follow and Bill will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet.
