Adam Scott Meister, age 35, of Plainfield, IL passed away suddenly on Sunday August 12, 2018.

He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Samantha Meister (nee Pollard); his children, Benjamin Lee "Ben" Meister (age 5) and Victoria Louise "Tori" Meister (age 3); parents, Steve and Linda (nee Lane) Meister; brothers, Jason (Stephanie) Meister of Elwood and Nathan Meister (Kim Macgirvin) of Plainfield; sister, Tammy (Donnie) Evans of Morris; nephews, Garett Evans and Mason Meister; In-laws, Joe and Sally (Bush) Pollard of Channahon; sister-in-law, Jackie (Brett) Babich of Channahon; grandmother-in-law, Barbara Bush of Channahon, IL

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy and Kay (nee Nolan) Meister of Rochelle, IL, Rev. Stanley and Betty Lane (Voight) of Joliet; uncles, Paul Meister of Rochelle, Randy Meister of Joliet; and cousins, Jeremy Lane of Joliet and Jennifer Meister of Diamond Bar, CA.

Adam was born July 3, 1983 in Hinsdale, IL. He was a graduate of Joliet Central High School class of 2001 and continued his studies at UTI in Carol Stream, IL to become a mechanic. He was employed with First Student Bus Company and enjoyed his work a great deal. Adam was an easy going and fun-loving man who loved spending time with his children. He grew up as an active member of Grace United Methodist Church, where he was involved in the Sunday school program and choir. He was also involved in musicals at Joliet West during his elementary school years and at Joliet Central during his high school years. He spent many summers doing mission work with Appalachia Service Project and Tree of Life Ministries on the Lakota Indian Reservation in Mission, SD.

In lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe account (www.gofundme.com/support-adam-meister039s-family) has been setup to help with his childrens' expenses.

A Celebration of Life service for Adam will be held at Grace United Methodist Church, 1718 Avalon (Avalon and Larkin) Joliet, IL on Saturday August 25 at 10:00 am. Per Adam's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.
