Denis Borowski

Age 77 of Joliet, passed away Friday, December 20, 2019 at AMITA Health St. Joseph Medical Center with his family by his side.

Born December 11, 1942 in Joliet, Denis was the son of Stanley and Theresa (Bandosz) Borowski. He was raised and educated in Joliet and graduated from Joliet Central High School with the class of 1960. Following High School, Denis started as an apprentice with Local 514 Pipefitters Union and then transitioned to Local 597 until retiring in 2002. Denis was an aviation enthusiast and skilled pilot who flew privately. He was also a car enthusiast. In his free time, Denis enjoyed building model cars and airplanes, as well as radio control airplanes. He also enjoyed studying history, namely World War II history. Denis will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his sons: Adam Borowski and Aaron Borowski, and grandson: Adam Matthew Borowski, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Denis is preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Theresa.

Family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Friday, December 27, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road in Joliet.

Per Denis’ wishes, cremation rites will be accorded following visitation.

Interment will be at a later date.
