“Zeke”

Age 39 of Crest Hill, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at his home.

Born May 10, 1982 in Joliet, Ezekiel Ahmad was a son of Buzz and Ellen (Cigler) Dawson. Zeke brought joy and happiness to everyone he knew. He had a passion for cooking and gardening and loved to share his skills with anyone and everyone. Zeke will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his parents: Ellen and Buzz Dawson; three sisters: Rachel (Donald) Connor, Emily (Dre) Pamplin and Tess Dawson; three brothers: Dayton, Dylan and Miles Dawson; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; one great-niece and his special four legged friend and companion: Henry.

Zeke is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Paul J. and Maryon Cigler; paternal grandparents: Willie Frank and Alice Dawson, as well as four aunts: Joan Attobe, Anne Dawson, Peggy Cigler and Sandy Krizek.

Per Ezekiel’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a memorial celebration on Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road in Joliet.
