John J. Raineri

Age 72 of Crest Hill, passed away at home on Tuesday, April 20, 2021.

Born July 17, 1948 in Joliet, John was the son of John A. and Mary B. (Lorenc) Raineri. He was raised and educated in the Crest Hill area and graduated from Lockport West with the class of 1966. John was a devout catholic and lifelong parishioner of St. Anne Catholic Church in Crest Hill. He was also a member of numerous groups and organizations, including the United Singles Group, Naperville Dominic Club, SAS Group in Naperville, and the New Beginnings group through St. Raphael parish in Naperville. John worked for the Department of Transportation for 32 years and was a part of the Highway Maintenance Team. In his free time, he enjoyed bowling, playing baseball, and dancing. John will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his niece: Kathryn Fajfar and numerous cousins.

John was preceded in death by his parents: John A. and Mary B.; sister: Mary Ann (Dennis) Fajfar and aunts: Lena (Alex) Samusevich and Minnie (Jake) Lorenc.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Monday, April 26, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road in Joliet. Masks and social distancing practices are required.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following day, Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1800 N Dearborn Street in Crest Hill. Following Mass John will be laid to rest next to his parents at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Joliet.
