To his children, he was loving but fair. He made sure to instill his values on them as well as the importance of their education.
Joseph loved his Chicago sports. He also shared his love of food with his children and grandchildren. Whether it was Chicago style pizza, breakfast tacos, or cheese manicotti, Joseph always looked forward to eating with the ones he loved.
Mr. Nieves is survived by his children, Katrina (Christopher) Summers, Joe (Robyn) Nieves, and Jaclyn (Jeremy) Grajewski; and the mother of his children, Karen Nieves.
