Age 39 of Joliet, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 11, 2020 with her mom by her side.

A favorite passage of Mimi’s was:

Don’t weep for me, I’m no longer here.

I’ve a date with a butterfly to dance in the air.

I’ll be singing in the sunshine, wild and free

Playing tag with the wind while I’m watching over thee.

Mimi is survived by her mother: Sarah Lubeck of Joliet; brothers: Thomas (Marta) Lubeck of Singapore and John (Polly) Lubeck of Shenzhen, China; nieces and nephews: Sarah, Thomas, Elizabeth and Mary; Aunt Mernie and Uncle Ron of Ventura, California; Uncle Timothy (Adriana) Grafer of River Grove; Uncle John (Jocelyn); cousins: Filipe, Vinlyn, Johnny, Walter, Kerri, Taylor, Ann, Joseph, Olivia, Ethan and Nathan.

She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Thomas; loving sister: Elizabeth, and adoring grandparents: Marilyn and John Grafer.

A private interment will be held at a later date and Mimi will be laid to rest next to her sister Elizabeth in Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, Illinois.
