“Mike”

Age 69 of Joliet, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019 in Canada while doing what he loved, fishing with friends.

Born December 14, 1949 in Joliet, Mike was a son of Peter and Doris (Rodeghero) Samusevich. He was raised and educated in Joliet and following high school proudly served in the United States Army.

Mike will be missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his brother, Peter (Helen) Samusevich and nephew, Peter John Samusevich of Lincoln, Nebraska.

Mike was preceded in death his parents, Peter and Doris.

Per Mike’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.

A memorial service with full military honors will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Guests wishing to attend are requested to meet at the cemetery welcome center no later than 1:45 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made as gifts in Mike’s memory to Vietnam Veterans of America.
