Miguel A. Pina

Age 36 of Joliet, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021 at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox.

Born July 8, 1985 in Joliet, Miguel was the son of Miguel and Dolores (Guzman) Pina. He was raised and educated in Joliet and went on to become an Operating Engineer and proud member of Union Local 150. Miguel was a devout Catholic and served as an Alter Server for St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rockdale. He was a multi time Timbrado USA National Champion and in his free time enjoyed playing music. First and foremost, Miguel was a family man who devoted his life to his wife and children. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Miguel is survived by his wife: Maricarmen; daughters: Sofia, Gabriela, Daniela, Susana and Clara; sons: Miguel, David, Santiago and Esteban; parents: Miguel and Dolores; sister and brother-in-law: Rosa and Jose G. Rodriguez; nieces and nephews: Elizabeth, Cristina, Miguel, Andres, Julian and Matias; sister and brother-in-law: Patricia and Francisco Rodriguez; nieces and nephew: Mariana, Fatima and Francisco; maternal grandmother: Maria Auxilio Guzman, and paternal grandparents: Abelina and Socorro Pina.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather: Agustin Guzman and brother-in-law: Luis Felipe Reyes.

Family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road in Joliet. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1329 Belleview Avenue in Rockdale. Interment will follow and Miguel will be laid to rest at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Joliet.

For those wishing to attend virtually, a livestream link will be made available at 6:00 p.m. during the visitation period on Wednesday.
