Scott Patrick Crotty

Age 58 of Joliet and formerly of Nevada, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Lightways Hospice in Joliet.

Born July 7, 1962 in Mesa, Arizona, Scott was a son of Michael and Carolyn (Leslie) Crotty. He was raised and educated in Arizona and at a young age moved with his family to Saudi Arabia for a number of years until moving back to the states and calling Nevada home for over thirty years. In recent years, Scott rekindled an old friendship that grew into a loving marriage with his wife Janet. Together they made their home in Joliet.

Scott worked as a mechanic and in construction throughout his life and in his free time enjoyed numerous activities. He loved to travel, go golfing with his sons, mess around with his RC cars, pluck around on his guitar and keyboard and root for the Pittsburg Steelers. Scott’s most treasured times were always spent with his family, especially his three granddaughters. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Crotty; two sons: Sean (Jennifer) Crotty and Ryan (Amber) Crotty; granddaughters: Kylie, Sydney and Chloe; two brothers: Kevin and Eric Crotty; step-sons: Kyle and Steven Stworzyjanek, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
